Last night was the last opening night for the Twins playing in the Metrodome. It doesn't look good for them again this year where they've lost their first game and are behind right now.
Today, was a beautiful day. I was even outside in my shirt sleeves for a little while. Arnie brought over some beaver feet treats for the dogs. Even the old dog is starting to like Arnie. He hasn't liked Arnie too much since Arnie took a some type of animal he had trapped out of the back of his pickup years ago and jumped at the dog. My road is starting to dry up pretty nice. Hopefully, we won't get any more of the white stuff.
Only 32 days until opening of fishing. Boy the time is flying by fast. Hope it warms up so all the resorts have time to get everything done they need to do.
Tonight at the Economic Development Meeting there were only 4 of us there. We need a new name as we are really more of a chamber of commerce or business group. We need more help and suggestions on how to get this group up and going. Our goal is to put together a new advertising booklet for our area. We aren't just the Squaw Lake Area but include a much broader area. So if you have any ideas leave a comment or if you can't get it to work email me at: jhemphil@paulbunyan.net. I will be posting when we are going to be meeting again as soon as I find out.
Duck's Unlimited Banquet is April 24th at the Squaw Lake Community Center. For more information or reservations call Danielle at The Hill, 218-659-9220.
The Max Cemetary Cleanup day will be Sunday, May 3 at 9am. Bring a rake and a potluck dish to share at the annual picnic after cleanup is done. The cemetary gets cleaned and everyone has a good time.
Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.
Julie
