Squawking

Hi everyone,

Well, for not seeing many deer for a number of days tonight I saw about 15 and most were right up next to the road eating the green grass.

Not much going on that I know about. Been busy working trying to get everything to the shops that carry my soaps etc that I make.

I did get this from Marcie Lindgren about something that is going on at the Edge in Bigfork.

What's "Canoe Grass" music?!

It is the artful blending of "Bluegrass, Folk, Swing, Celtic and More... a special sound from the Land of Sky Blue Water, in the Great Northwoods at The End of the Road!"

That's Pat Surface and the Boundary Water Boys who are coming to the Edge Center for the Arts in Bigfork, MN on Thursday, April 30 at 1pm for the school show and 7pm for the community performance.

Among the Boundary Waters "Boys" are Doc Rob Mattson, John Ely, and Donna Surface who is a performance artist in signing for the hearing impaired.

Pat came to the Edge Center two years ago, and the audience kept asking for him and his group to return. So mark your calendars for THIS THURSDAY, the 30th at 7pm.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and are available at the door.

You can also visit Pat's website for more information. It is www.patsurface.com.

See you there!
The Events Committee

Max Cemetery cleanup is Sunday May 3, 9am. Potluck to follow. See you there.

Opening of fishing is May 9th. Start the day out with the Eagleview Foundation Pancake Breakfast at the Community Center. Serving starts at 7am and goes to 11am. Hope to see you there.

The Blog will be hit or miss here for a while unless you start calling or emailing with events coming up. When I'm busy at home I sometimes don't know what is going on in the community. Looking around my yard there is alot of work to get done this spring.

Have a great day tomorrow.

Take care,
Hugs,
Julie
