WOW Trip

We have just returned from the Women of the Woods "Mystery Trip" that Connie and I organized and rescheduled from 02-09-09 until today. We had 16 participants besides the 2 of us and we all had a good time. Our Mystery Destination was 20 businesses in Grand Rapids that are either: new, unusual, unique, or fun and some are a bit of all four. After the trip we gathered for lunch at a tea house that opened up especially for us today. They are usually closed on Mondays. We all met at Connie's at 8:30 this morning and got arranged into 3 car groups of 4 and 1 of 3 (the fourth in this car met us in Grand Rapids) We took everyone who had prearranged who to ride with and mixed them all up so everyone was riding with different people than they thought. Then we all met at Country Kitchen and they got their next instructions there. 16 took off while Connie and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. One person from each car called me between 1:20 and 1:30 to get the address for our final destination which was 1612 McKinney Lake Road. After a thoroughly enjoyable lunch we had photos taken and all left for home to beat the storm. We made it with about a half hour to spare before the snow started again.
