July Calendar

July 1 to July 7 - 1st Week Boutique will be open at the Squaw Lake Community Center. I don't know the hours as of yet but call Eagleview Tech Center at 218-659-4254 in the afternoons for information. When I find out the hours I will let you know.

July 4th, Squaw Lake Fire Department Pig Roast from 4pm to 7 pm at the Squaw Lake Community Center. Menu includes Roast Pork,Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Assorted Salads, buns, coffee and lemonade and PIE for dessert. Cost is $10/adult, $5 children 6 to 12, under 6 eat free with paid adult. Come and enjoy the meal and visit with friends and neighbors. The raffle that the fire department has going on will be held at 7 pm that night also.

July 4th, Sand Lake Ice Cream Social at the Sand Lake Town Hall from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Mississippi Showboat in Grand Rapids at 8 pm.

July 13, Squaw Lake City Council Meeting at 7pm, Community Center

July 14, Nurse comes to Community Center to trim toe nails, Call Deer River Health Care for appointments.

July 14, Evergreen Friendship Club 5 pm, Potluck at the Sand Lake Town Hall

July 14, Max Town Board Meeting at 7 pm at Max Town Hall.

July 21 is Food Pantry day at the Indian Center on County Road 4 from 3 - 5p. Get there early for signing in. This is a commodity Supplement Food Program from Second Harves North Central Food Bank, Grand Rapids, call 218-326-4420 for more information.

July 22, St. Catherine and Centennial Lutheran Ladies join together for the Squaw Lake Community Meal from 5 to 7 pm at the Squaw Lake Community Center. All donations will go to Fresh Water for Life. These ladies put on a great meal for a good cause. Menu: Sloppy Joes, some type of salad and dessert. Come and join the fun.

July 27th, Women of the Woods at 10am at Sand Lake Town Hall.
